The African Democratic Congress, ADC, says it has moved on from the exit of two former presidential candidates, Peter Obi and Rabi’u Kwankwaso, from the party.
Speaking on Wednesday, during an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Morning Show’, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Bolaji Abdullahi, described the exit of the duo as a glitch.
DAILY POST recalls that Obi and Kwankwaso recently defected from the ADC to the Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC, citing internal political wranglings and court cases as reasons.
Speaking during the interview, the ADC spokesman said, “Peter Obi and Kwankwaso moving from the ADC was a glitch. We have moved on from it.
“We have stabilised and moved forward because the objective remains the same, stopping the steady deterioration of governance in the country and strengthening multi-party democracy.
“While some have moved to other parties and others remain in ADC, the broader vision of building a strong opposition coalition is still very much alive within the current political dynamics.”
