Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has sparked reactions after speaking against Igbos who attack their fellow kinsmen for supporting Bola Tinubu ahead of the next election.
PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that he made his view known on Saturday through a post on 𝕏 , where he strongly condemned those calling out other Igbos for supporting the president’s second-term ambition.
According to him, it is wrong for people within the South-East to focus only on their own brothers while ignoring supporters of the same political movement in other parts of the country.
He questioned why those critics do not direct the same energy toward people from other regions who are also in support of Tinubu.
He also raised concerns about what he sees as selective criticism, pointing out that past leaders and public figures from outside the region are rarely held accountable in the same manner.
In his view, the pattern shows unfair treatment and misplaced anger among those attacking their fellow Igbos.
He wrote: “Any Igbo man that is dragging his fellow Igbo man for supporting President TINUBU, that person is a monkey and a coward.
“Show me a video of you dragging Yorubas who are supporting TINUBU. Show me a video of you dragging Northerners who are supporting Tinubu. Show me a video of you dragging all the past leaders who couldn’t fix Nigeria. Show me a video of you dragging Northern celebrities that support Tinubu. None.”
