Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, better known as AY, has sparked reactions with his disclosure about his personal life.
In a video he shared on his Instagram page, he revealed that he stopped attending church for a period because he was going through a personal season after negative stories about him circulated online.

He shared that he became uncomfortable with the possibility of being judged or subjected to whispers whenever he walked into church, choosing instead to worship online.
Ay said he later attended another church, where he was unfortunately later removed from an upcoming programme after concerns were raised about the public perception surrounding him.
The comedian said the experience left him questioning whether public opinion had become more important than a person’s relationship with God.
