Nigerian singer Davido has fired shots at NURTW chairman, MC Oluomo, for kicking against the ban in Osun State.
Kemi Filani reported that the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, suspended National Union of Road Transport Workers operations across motor parks in Osun. He halted the collection of levies and directed security agencies to arrest anyone operating in the name of the union.
Speaking during the inauguration, MC Oluomo, represented by his deputy, rejected Osun’s action, insisting the governor lacks the authority to suspend the union.
Davido, taking his uncle’s side, fired shots at MC Oluomo, as he mocked him over his inability to speak English.
“MC Oluomo wey no fit compose sentence dey talk. Kudosuu”.
Hours ago, the singer had reacted to the APC’s decision to appoint Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, as the Chairman of the National Campaign Council for the Osun State governorship election. Davido said he likes the Governor because he is from his wife’s state; however, they would meet on the field (meaning election day).
A few days ago, Davido trolled Reno Omokri, calling him a dog and fowl, following his interview over reasons why he hasn’t resumed his post in Mexico.
The singer had called out the former Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola. Though not disclosing what happened, he called him the most desperate politician in the world.
Over the years, Davido has become actively involved in the politics of Nigeria, especially in Osun State.
During the Governorship campaign in Osun State, Davido actively campaigned for his uncle, and when he won, Davido celebrated openly online.
In 2024, he celebrated his uncle on his latest finished project in Osun State. The project in question was a building project in Osun.
Also, in 2024, Davido revealed why he was interested in the Edo State gubernatorial election, as he questioned the police directive for Edo citizens. He declared INEC the most dangerous institution in Nigeria as he admonished Edo indigenes not to bow to them. He noted how he had to fight and rant for the Osun Election to be a success in 2022 and was waiting for Osun 2026.
