Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw is still basking in the euphoria of being 55.
The movie star, who turned a new age days back, had shared a video from another of her birthday celebrations, which Mabel Makun, the ex-wife of AY, hosted.
Sharing a video from the party, she expressed how humbled she is by the love, thoughtfulness and generosity of the people God placed in her life. She stated that to be seen is a gift, to be loved is a blessing, and to be celebrated while she is alive is priceless.
Kate said her birthday season has reminded her that one of life’s greatest riches is not in what she has, but in the people who choose to show up for her.

Kemi Filani reported on Sunday that the legendary actress had turned 55. Kate shared a photo of herself reflecting on her life challenges, saying she has lived, loved, lost, learned, fallen and risen.
In another post, she shared smoking hot photos, saying she had reflected, danced and wanted to misbehave. She noted that her face card is still valid, that confidence is fully paid for, that the heels didn’t come to negotiate, and that she had absolutely nothing to explain.
To celebrate her birthday, the movie star held a Thanksgiving service at Pastor Ituah Ighodalo’s church, Trinity House, in Lagos, on July 19th, 2026. The likes of Joke Silva, Ireti Doyle, Veekee James, Rita Dominic and her husband Fidelis Anosike, Tomike and TMT, and many others had joined her.
Sharing a clip from the service, she questioned where she would be if God hadn’t showered her with so many blessings. Kate appreciated everyone who showed up for her and prayed that God shows up for them.
In other news, she had shared details of her steamy scene with colleague Daniel Effiong. She disclosed that he never got an erection during the filming and praised him for being strict and professional, calling him a good guy.
Opening up about her fallout with Genevieve Nnaji, she reflected that it quickly faded, saying she couldn’t pinpoint what caused it. She made it clear that she remains unsure about things and believes they have grown apart.
