A businessman, Alhaji Lawal Hamisu, has on Thursday requested that the Shari’a Court in Magajin Gari, Kaduna State, order his 25-year-old son, Muhammad, to leave his house.
Lawal’s counsel, H.B Debo told the court that his client’s son has a thriving business and can take care of himself and rent a place to stay.
He accused Mohammed of disrespecting him as he sought an eviction order from the court.
“He disrespects me and does not obey me. I want him to leave my house in two weeks time,” Lawal said.
In his defence, Muhammad cited economic hardship which affects his business as reason behind his continued stay at his father’s house.
” Things are difficult right now. My business is not going well for me.
” I am working under someone. I can’t afford to rent a house. I use the proceeds from the business to feed and pay school fees.” He said
The Judge, Mallam Yakubu Abdullahi adjourned the case until August 8 for ruling.
