According to veteran Nollywood actor Emeka Ike, he served as a consultant under the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, where he was tasked with rehabilitating and training 100 former militants in Ghana as part of the Federal Government’s amnesty programme.
Speaking during an interview with Nedu Wazobia on the Real Broadcasting Network, Ike said the initiative was designed to reform ex-militants and prepare them for successful reintegration into society.
He explained that the participants were taken from Nigeria to Ghana, where they underwent rehabilitation and vocational training before returning home.
The actor revealed that the Nigerian government provided security arrangements for the programme, including police and military escorts in Ghana, to ensure the safety and smooth execution of the project.
