No fewer than 30 people have been killed in fresh attack on Kaduna community.
The victims, who are residents of Naridon, a cluster community within Kamaru village in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna state, were reportedly killed after suspected gunmen stormed the community in the early hours of Monday.
According to local sources, the attackers stormed the village around 1:00 a.m., opening fire indiscriminately on the sleeping residents.
Video shared on Instagram hour after the attack showed lifeless bodies of some of the deceased victims laid on the playground of a school within the community as other villagers watched in shock.
Some other members of the attacked community reportedly sustained varying degrees of injuries and are currently undergoing treatment.
According to some reports, most of the victims were predominantly Christian and Chawe-speaking locals.
Meanwhile, no official statement has been issued by the police to confirm the incident ascertain the total number of victims involved in the attack.
