TWO persons, Samuel Olabamiji and Yisa Adewale, on Tuesday, were dragged before an Oyo State High Court in Ibadan, over alleged armed robbery.

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of conspiracy and armed robbery.

Being a capital offence, Justice Gabriel Opayinka ordered their remand in a correctional facility and adjourned until Sept. 30, for hearing.

The State Prosecution Counsel, Mr S.A. Osuolale said the defendants committed the offences on Nov. 22, 2025, at about 3.00 a.m., at Omi-Adio, Ibadan.

Osuolale alleged that the defendants while armed with a gun and other dangerous weapons, robbed one Motunrayo Arogundade and two others of their phones, cash and jewellery.

He said that the offences contravened provisions of Section 516 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000 and Sections 6(b), 1 (2) (a) of the Robbery and Firearms Act, 2004. (NAN)
