THE Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Nadungu Gagare has called on agencies under the ministry to strengthen collaboration, align policies, and deepen understanding of their operational realities, achievements, and challenges.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Head of Corporate Affair of Nigerian Communication Satellite (NIGCOMSAT), Limited Stephen Kwande in Abuja.

Gagare made the call during the maiden tour of agencies supervised by the ministry, stressing that the digital economy remains central to Nigeria’s national growth and global competitiveness.

He said the ministry and its agencies must work with greater synergy, innovation, professionalism, and accountability in delivering on their mandates.

The Permanent Secretary noted that stronger inter-agency collaboration was necessary to achieve greater impact and avoid duplication of efforts.

He urged staff to remain committed, disciplined, and innovative as they advance the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda through technology-driven development and improved public service delivery.

Responding on behalf of NIGCOMSAT Ltd, the Managing Director, Mrs Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, represented by the General Manager, Information Technology, Engr. Baba Alkali, appreciated the Permanent Secretary for the visit and his continuous support.

Alkali said the tour was a source of encouragement to the management and staff of NIGCOMSAT Ltd, adding that the agency remained committed to supporting the ministry’s mandate of driving Nigeria’s digital transformation.

The visit formed part of the Permanent Secretary’s familiarisation tour aimed at engaging agencies under the ministry on ways to enhance efficiency and service delivery in the communications and digital economy sector. (NAN)
