FULL LIST: Names of 46 pupils, students, teachers abducted in Oyo

Oyo Abduction 1

The identities of the 46 victims abducted during last Friday’s attack on schools and surrounding communities in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State have been released.

Community sources said the abductees include seven teachers and 39 pupils and residents taken during coordinated attacks on Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele, and Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School.

The attacks were carried out by suspected terrorists who also reportedly stole four motorcycles from residents in the affected communities.

The incident has triggered widespread outrage and renewed concern over worsening insecurity in parts of the South-West.

Governor Seyi Makinde had earlier confirmed that seven teachers were abducted, while rescue operations involving security agencies, Amotekun Corps operatives, local hunters, and vigilantes remain ongoing.

One of the abducted teachers, Michael Oyedokun, was later confirmed killed after a disturbing video allegedly released by the kidnappers surfaced online.
