The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has invested Kogi Governor, Ahmed Ododo, as Patron of the FRSC Kogi Special Marshals.
The Corps Public Education Officer, Olusegun Ohaeri, said this in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja.
Ohaeri said the investiture ceremony, held in Lokoja, reflected the growing partnership between the FRSC and the Kogi Government in promoting road safety and protecting lives along one of Nigeria’s busiest transportation corridors.
He said that, in demonstration of his administration’s commitment to safer roads, Ododo donated 10 electric patrol motorcycles to the FRSC.
According to him, the donation is expected to strengthen traffic control, enhance enforcement operations and improve emergency response across the state.
Ohaeri quoted the Corps Marshal, Malam Shehu Mohammed, as describing the gesture as a strategic investment that would significantly boost the corps’ operational effectiveness in Kogi.
Mohammed commended the governor for accepting the responsibility of serving as patron and for making tangible contributions toward enhancing the corps’ operational capacity.
Responding, Ododo dedicated the investiture to President Bola Tinubu in recognition of his visionary leadership, unwavering support for the FRSC and commitment to strengthening institutions responsible for safeguarding the lives of Nigerians.(NAN)(www.nannews.com.ng)
