Nigerian afrobeat superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed spending between $200,000 and $300,000 monthly on his personal lifestyle, excluding expenses on his wife, family, luxury cars and jewelries.
Davido made the disclosure during a livestream with DavrelTV.
The 2026 Grammy Award nominee spoke about the financial demands of maintaining his status as one of Africa’s biggest music stars.
“I spend $200K-$300K monthly, minus my wife, family, buying cars and jewelry.” He said.
The singer explained that the amount caters for his personal lifestyle and other expenses associated with his career in the entertainment industry.
NPO Reported that Davido had also during the livestream recounted his encounters with the infamous occult group, Illuminati.
The singer attributed his rare appearances at Hollywood events and the Paris Fashion Week to the presence of the illuminati members at such events.
He recounted how he had alongside his manager, Lati, avoided the sect.
“I don’t think they will hit you up directly. They will rather use style. I’ve been in that situation.
“You know how many places where me and Lati don go, all those Hollywood setting wey be say, omo make we dey go o no be our place be dis.
“Na why dat Fashion Week, I dey go but I no… No be my place be dat. Meet me on stage or the club or the studio.” He said.
Davido is one of Africa’s most successful music artistes, with several international collaborations, hit songs, sold-out concerts and endorsement deals contributing to his global profile.
The “I Know Who I Be” crooner is widely credited with introducing a high-rolling, flamboyant lifestyle to the Nigerian music industry, making flashy displays of wealth mainstream.
The singer frequently travels using private jets and has built an impressive garage that includes exotic cars, such as his well-publicised acquisitions of high-end vehicles.
