The incident took place near West 44th Street and Seventh Avenue at around 3:30 pm (local time), when a dispute between several people suddenly escalated into gunfire.
Witnesses said at least two individuals dressed in black were seen firing what appeared to be handguns in the crowded area. A viral video from the scene shows people running for cover as multiple shots rang out, according to New York Post.
