Another veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Adesina, popularly known as Elegbeje Ado, has died.
Adesina reportedly passed away on Monday, throwing the movie industry into another state of mourning as his demise is coming barely a month after the death of fellow legendary actor, Kola Oyewo.
His death was announced in a post shared on Instagram on Tuesday by fellow actor Kunle Afod.
Afod described the late actor as one of the legends of Yoruba cinema, praising his immense contributions to the industry, his exceptional talent, and the joy he brought to audiences over the years.
“Your immense contribution to the growth of Yoruba cinema, your talent, and the joy you brought to countless lives will never be forgotten.
“Thank you for the beautiful memories and the legacy you left behind. May your soul rest in perfect peace.
“Our heartfelt condolences go to your family, friends, colleagues, and fans during this difficult time.”Afod wrote.
Renowned for his traditional roles in Yoruba movies, the late Adesina reportedly died after brief illness.
He was widely regarded as one of the most respected figures in the Yoruba film industry.
