Seven serving members of the House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Zamfara State have secured return tickets for the 2027 general elections.
The results were declared on Monday night by the Chairman of the APC National Assembly Primaries Committee in Zamfara State, Dr. Bello Maigari, who confirmed that the exercise was conducted peacefully.
Maigari described the primaries as orderly and urged unsuccessful aspirants to accept the outcome as part of the democratic process.
He also announced the setting up of a committee to address complaints from aspirants, scheduled to begin sitting on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
Among those who secured tickets are Abdulmalik Zubairu (Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency), who polled 46,000 votes; Bello Hassan Shinkafi, who secured 23,007 votes; and Kabiru Amadu (Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency), who scored 85,723 votes out of 87,995 votes cast.
In Gummi/Bukkuyum Federal Constituency, Suleiman Ahmad Gummi defeated Kabiru Gayari with 31,299 votes.
In Bakura/Maradun Federal Constituency, Muhammad Abba Sani defeated Muntaqa Rini with 34,282 votes, while Isah Muhammad Anka (Talata Mafara/Anka Federal Constituency) secured 35,139 votes.
The APC said the primaries reflected internal democracy and commitment to peaceful electoral processes within the party.
