Human Rights Activist, Omoyele Sowore, has emerged as the African Action Congress (AAC) Presidential Candidate for the 2027 Election, while stepping down as the party’s national chairman.
Sowore was declared the party’s consensus presidential candidate during engagement with the party members and leaders in Abuja on Tuesday
In his address at the event, the Sahara Reporters publisher stated that he is officially stepping down as the party’s national chairman while running as the party’s presidential candidate.
Sowore handed over the position of the party’s national chairman to pastor Samuel Ajeyigbe.
“I officially step down as the chairman of this great party, according to the constitution of this party.
‘I am handing over officially the national chairman of the party to pastor Samuel Ajeyigbe.” He said.
