PRP Clears Ex-Cross Rivers Governor, Duke, Two Others for Presidential Primaries

The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has cleared former Cross Rivers State Governor, Donald Duke, for the party’s presidential primary election.

This was announced in a statement issued on Saturday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Muhammed Ishaq.

According to Ishaq, Duke was cleared alongside two other aspirants.

The other aspirants include Nnaoke Ufere from Abia State and Yakubu Mohammed Kingsley from Edo State.

PRP disclosed that the primaries will be held on Monday, May 25,, 2026, across all parts of the country.

The party hailed the cleared aspirant over their commitment and dedication.

It assured members of the party of credible, transparent, and free primaries.

“The PRP takes pride in the caliber of its aspirants, whose dedication to democratic principles and commitment to teamwork have further strengthened our party.

“We are committed to conducting credible, transparent, and free primaries, involving over 260 aspirants competing for various elective offices, especially in instances where consensus is not achievable.

“The PRP remains steadfast in its resolve to uphold democratic values and ensure a fair process for all aspirants and party members.”  The statement read.
