Former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has visited former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, at his residence.
PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that the visit took place shortly after Obi was screened to contest the 2027 presidential primary election of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) on Tuesday.
The visit was confirmed on Wednesday by Kwankwaso on his đ Account, who added that the future is bright and full of promise.
He wrote, âLast night, I received a courtesy visit from my brother, His Excellency Peter Obi, shortly after his successful screening as the presidential aspirant of our party, the NDC.
âThe future is bright and full of promise.â
Meanwhile, Obi has been cleared to contest the presidential primary election of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2027 elections.
Speaking in a statement via his đ Account on Wednesday, Obi disclosed that the screening, which lasted over two and a half hours, took place on Tuesday.
According to him, the screening committee, led by the former Governor of Ebonyi State, Sam Egwu, reviewed all his documents, including degree certificates, NYSC credentials, and age declarations.
Obi added that he also spoke about his vision for Nigeria and the type of leadership he would provide if eventually elected President.
The presidential aspirant who appreciated the democratic process instituted by the NDC noted that the screening committee was very professional in their approach.
