Abdulmumini Jibrin Kofa, a strong contender in the race for the Bebeji/Kiru Federal House of Representatives seat, has emerged winner of the party primary following intense internal wrangling within the party.
Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency, regarded as one of the major political strongholds in Kano South, witnessed a massive turnout during the affirmation event for Abdulmumini Jibrin Kofa, a House of Representatives candidate seeking a fifth term in office.
The affirmation, which was preceded by a rally, attracted a mammoth crowd of supporters who expressed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, chanting their names in support of their continuity in office.
Speaking at the event, Kofa thanked the people for their continued support and assured them that he would never let them down. He highlighted some of his achievements despite not completing all his previous terms in office due to certain circumstances.
He also praised the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, describing their administrations as ushering in a new chapter of progress and development for Nigeria, Northern Nigeria and Kano State.
Kofa further called on all those who contested alongside him to unite for the progress of the party, stressing that there is no victor and no vanquished, while insisting that his victory belongs to everyone in the constituency.
