Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu, has encouraged socialite and celebrity businessman Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, following his loss in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for a House of Representatives seat.
Seyi reached out to the nightlife promoter on Sunday via a post shared on his official Instagram page.
Cubana Chief Priest had earlier expressed regret after seeking the APC ticket for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency of Imo State in the just-concluded primary.
The socialite, who serves as the Imo State Coordinator of the City Boys Movement—a youth support group for President Tinubu—lost to the incumbent lawmaker representing the constituency, Canice Nwachukwu, after polling just 14 votes.
His defeat sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many netizens mocking his inability to secure the APC ticket despite his public support for the president.

Reacting to the outcome, Cubana Chief Priest noted that his only regret was trusting the elders in his community.
“I’m a hustler, and I don’t regret trying to contest for a position. My only regret was trusting the elders in the community. I know how much I gave them, but only 14 people voted for me in the primary,” he said.
Consoling him, Seyi Tinubu urged him not to be weighed down by the loss, stating that he knows his capabilities.
Speaking via his verified handle, the president’s son said: “Bro, sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war. Keep your head up @cubana_chiefpries. We know what you are capable of achieving.”
