Kefas emerges APC guber candidate in Taraba

Governor Agbu Kefas has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State.

The governor polled 166,357 votes to defeat Mu’azu Jaji, his closest rival who scored 4,110 votes in the exercise held ahead of the 2027 general election.

Speaking after his declaration on Friday, Kefas described his emergence as a victory for democracy and called for unity among party members.

He said the contest was over and urged stakeholders to focus on collective efforts toward the development of the state.

“The time has come for unity and collective action toward the continued development of our state,” he said.

The governor also expressed appreciation to the APC leadership at all levels for their support and confidence in his administration.

He thanked the people of Taraba state for their trust and reaffirmed his commitment to delivering good governance anchored on fairness, humility, and development.

Kefas added that his administration would consolidate existing policies and strengthen programmes aimed at improving the welfare of residents across the state.
