Yusuf Buhari, son of late former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, has secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Sandamu/Daura/Mai’adua Federal Constituency seat as he emerged winner of the party’s primaries in Katsina state.
Buhari reportedly swept the poll for the House of Representatives ticket with 5,849 votes at the election held on Saturday.
He defeated Auwalu Daura, the only aspirant who refused to accept the son of late President as the consensus candidate of the constituency.
According to reports, Auwalu who had earlier faulted the conduct of the election polled just 21 votes.
The result had since stirred major reactions across Katsina political circles.
