According to eyewitness, the man was apprehended by angry residents after he was allegedly seen dropping suspicious items near a residential area during the late hours of the night. Residents claimed his movements raised concerns, leading to his capture and interrogation by members of the community before security operatives intervened.
In a video that has since circulated online, the man appeared visibly frightened as he begged for mercy. While speaking, he repeatedly denied being a native doctor or spiritualist. He claimed that unknown individuals usually sent him on errands to secretly place charms and ritual materials in targeted locations.
“I’m not a juju man. They only send me to plant the juju in victims’ compound or workplace,” he reportedly said while pleading with those surrounding him.
The incident has generated widespread reactions on social media, with many Nigerians expressing shock over the confession and questioning the growing cases of alleged ritual activities in some communities. Others, however, urged the public not to take laws into their own hands and advised residents to hand over suspects to the police for proper investigation.
