Controversial self-acclaimed relationship expert, Blessing CEO, has reacted to the death of Nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo, who reportedly died after battling stage 4 liver cancer.
The actor was said to have passed away on Monday at a hospital in Lagos after a prolonged health battle.
Reacting to the development, Blessing CEO took to her Instagram page to mourn the late actor, expressing anger over the disease believed to have claimed his life.
Sharing a photo of the deceased actor, she wrote, “God will punish cancer. We waited for u to show up. You fought silently. Rest in peace.”
Her reaction appeared to reference her earlier public claims about battling stage 4 cancer, which had generated widespread controversy on social media.
Recall that Blessing CEO, in March 2026, appealed to Nigerians for financial support, claiming she was undergoing chemotherapy treatment for stage 4 breast cancer.
The social media personality had shared what she described as a medical report to support her claims and solicit assistance from the public.
However, the development later sparked backlash after the Nigerian Medical Association, Delta State chapter, accused her of allegedly altering another patient’s medical report.
According to the association, the document reportedly originated from Xinus Medical Diagnostics and was signed by consultant pathologist, Dr. O.A. Odigwe.
The NMA alleged that the report had been manipulated, raising questions over the authenticity of Blessing CEO’s claims.
PrimeTimes Nigeria recalls that following the controversy, social media influencer, VeryDarkMan, reportedly petitioned the Nigeria Police Force, calling for an investigation into the matter.
The petition, according to reports, was approved by the Inspector-General of Police.
The controversy surrounding Blessing CEO’s health claims had triggered heated debates online, with many Nigerians demanding accountability over the alleged misuse of medical documents.
