Galadima wins Adamawa APC governorship primary

Tijjani Galadima, former chief executive of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund, has won the governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress (AFC) in Adamawa.

Announcing the result in Yola on Friday, committee chairman, Prof. Innocent Barikor, said Galadima secured the highest votes in the exercise.

Barikor said Galadima polled 414,444 votes, while Abdulrazak Namdas scored 86,004 votes and Abdulrahaman Haske secured 65,934 votes.

“Having satisfied the party’s requirements, Galadima is hereby declared winner,” Barikor said.

The results were announced before representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission, the appeal committee, party officials and other stakeholders.

In his acceptance speech, Galadima thanked party supporters for their confidence in him as the APC governorship candidate.

He also commended party stakeholders, including National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, for ensuring a level playing field during the primary.

Galadima further appreciated aspirants who stepped down for him and urged continued support for the party’s victory in 2027. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
