President Bola Tinubu has berated opposition figures in the country, particularly those in the coalition led by the African Democratic Congress (ADC), accusing them of having nothing new to contribute to Nigeria’s development.
Tinubu said each member of the coalition has a history in the country and has not been able to contribute anything positive to the nation’s development while in power.
Specifically, he pointed to the failed privatization efforts during the time Atiku Abubakar was the Vice President of the country.
He also took a swipe at the coalition, accusing the group of attempting to privatize the political party of another individual, which eventually backfired.
Speaking on Thursday during a meeting with the leadership and coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja., Tinubu said, “No one among them (coalition leaders) is without history, the head (Atiku) was the chairman of the privatization council of Nigeria at one time. They privatized the steel industry in Delta, is it working today? They privatized Ajaokuta, is it working today? They privatized another man’s political party; that one says no.”

Meanwhile, President Tinubu has declared that he is ready to contest the 2027 election to seek a second term in office as Nigeria’s leader.
According to him, he is ready to break the shackles of ignorance and poverty, put freedom in the hearts of Nigerians and ensure democracy survives.
Taking a swipe at opposition parties, President Tinubu said he wants to give something different from the rascality or noise-making of a street convention.
