Salami emerges Committee of Provosts of Colleges of Education Chairman

THE Committee of Provosts of Colleges of Education in Nigeria has elected Dr Ademola Salami of the Federal College of Education (Special),  Oyo, as its National Chairman.

A statement by the college, which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan on Thursaday, said that Salami emerged unopposed in the election conducted on Wednesday in Abuja.

The statement said that Salami’s emergence was widely welcomed by members of the committee.

It added that the emergence was  not surprising due to Salami’s outstanding administrative competence, academic excellence and remarkable leadership.

It said that since the appointment of Salami as  the Provost of the Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo, he had spearheaded landmark initiatives that  transformed the college and elevated its status.

The statement said that the college community had expressed pride and joy at Salami’s emergence, describing him as a seasoned and distinguished special educator.

“We have confidence in his capacity to deliver exceptional leadership at the national level as evidenced by the visible progress and development recorded under his stewardship,” the statement quoted the Dean, School of Special Education of the college, Dr Salaudeen  Olayide, as saying. (NAN)
