Oyedepo Reveals What He Told Kidnappers Who Abducted A Pastor

Bishop David Oyedepo

The founder of Living Faith Church, David Oyedepo, has narrated how an abducted pastor of the church was released after he personally spoke with the kidnappers.

Speaking during a sermon captured in a viral video, Oyedepo said he issued a stern warning to the abductors when they contacted the church for ransom.

He said, “One time, one of our pastors was kidnapped. When they called, I said, ” Give me the phone and I told them, in 24 hours, if you don’t release him, you are dead.”

According to the cleric, the situation changed immediately after the conversation.

He said, “After that, the place was vibrating,” adding that the kidnapped pastor was released shortly afterwards.

Oyedepo urged church members to give his phone number to abductors if they are ever kidnapped.

“If anybody picks you, give them my number. If he is not cut down, then I’m not sent. You carry the same force if you discover it,” he said.

The bishop also shared another account involving a female member of the church who was abducted but later freed.

He said the victim declared to her captors, “My father said I’m getting out of here latest by 7 am,” after which the kidnappers allegedly became unsettled.

“The kidnappers started cutting themselves,” he added.
