The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has congratulated Tony Nwoye on his emergence as Senate Minority Whip, describing it as a reflection of his credibility and growing confidence in the party.
In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said Nwoye’s elevation is a testament to his dedication to democratic values.
“This well-deserved recognition is a testament to Senator Nwoye’s consistency, courage, and unwavering commitment to democratic values,” the statement read.
The party noted that the development highlights its readiness to strengthen democratic practice and provide responsible opposition.
It added that the appointment signals increasing trust in the ADC as a viable political platform.
The ADC said the milestone reinforces its ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing that it is prepared not just to contest but to lead.
