The investigation into the shooting involving Offset has entered a new phase after the FBI took over the case tied to the April 6 incident outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
According to TMZ, federal agents released several images Tuesday showing people believed to be connected to the shooting, along with the vehicles investigators say were used to flee the scene.
The photos include two Chevrolet SUVs, described by the FBI as a matte gray Tahoe and a black Suburban. In one image, a man appears to be speaking on a cellphone near one of the vehicles. Additional images show several men gathered beside the SUVs.
The FBI said the photos were connected to the shooting, which happened after an altercation involving Offset and fellow rapper Lil Tjay outside the casino.
Authorities previously said the dispute turned violent when a man opened fire, leaving Offset with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Investigators also allege the suspects attempted to steal the rapper’s watch before driving away.
Despite the injury, Offset returned to the stage days later at the University of Arkansas’ Rawfest in a wheelchair before standing to perform, later posting clips from the show on Instagram with the caption, “REAL LOVE.” Fans accused him of trying to gain a wheelchair.
