Desiigner placed a frantic 911 call the same night he was arrested on domestic violence charges in South Carolina, and newly released audio obtained by TMZ captures the rapper, whose real name is Sidney Selby III, telling dispatchers that a woman was allegedly trying to take his car while their young son was with her.
“She’s trying to do grand theft auto on my car,” Desiigner said in the recording. “She has my son, I need my son.”
During the call, the “Panda” rapper appeared distressed and repeatedly argued about the car keys. He also told the dispatcher he believed “somebody put something bad in my weed.” At another point in the conversation, Desiigner admitted he was struggling emotionally and said he was having suicidal thoughts. The dispatcher also asked about a weapon after the rapper revealed he had an Airsoft gun with him “just to have one.”
He can be heard at one point saying, “Go k*ll yourself, go k*ll yourself, go k*ll yourself,” and telling her that he hopes that she dies.
Desiigner claimed the woman “bothers him every day” and said he had “receipts” from surveillance cameras.
According to police, the woman, who is reportedly the mother of Desiigner’s child, told officers the pair got into an argument that became physical. She alleged Desiigner grabbed the car keys from her, tearing her sweatpants in the process.
She also claimed he threw her to the ground when she tried to stop him from putting their child into a car seat. Officers reported seeing minor scratches on her arm and back.

Desiigner was later released on a $1,500 bond.
The South Carolina arrest is not the first time Desiigner has faced legal issues. In April 2023, the “Panda” rapper was charged with indecent exposure after authorities said he exposed himself several times on a Delta flight from Tokyo to Minneapolis. Desiigner later pleaded guilty and was ordered to complete community service, pay a fine, and remain on probation for two years.
Years earlier, Desiigner made headlines after being arrested in New York during a 2016 road rage investigation. Police initially accused him of possessing a loaded weapon and drugs, but the charges were eventually dismissed. His attorneys later said he had been “exonerated.”
