A shocking incident occurred at Capitec Bank in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, after mourners brought a dead body into the banking hall while attempting to claim life insurance money.
According to reports, the family had earlier visited the bank to claim the deceased’s insurance payout but were told they needed proof of death. In anger, they later returned with the body and left it inside the branch.
The disturbing incident forced an immediate evacuation of the building, while the bank branch was closed and the surrounding area temporarily shut down as police responded to the scene.
Authorities have since arrested members of the deceased’s family in connection with the incident.
