The United States President, Donald Trump, has faulted the Supreme Court’s ruling over the US birthright citizenship which he claimed was created for babies of slaves.

NPO Reported that the US Supreme Court had earlier this week upheld the birthright citizenship, dismissing Trump’s call for its eradication.

Reacting to the court’s ruling while addressing newsmen on Wednesday, Trump faulted the judgement.

The US President vowed to readdress the birthright citizenship which he claimed to be established for the children of slaves after the civil war.

“We will take care of the birthright citizenships because that was not meant for rich people from other countries.

“It was actually meant for babies of slaves.

“If you look at it, it was the month after the civil war ended that it went through.” He said.

Trump maintained that the Supreme Court got he ruling wrong while trolling China.

“That’s because it was meant for babies of slaves. It wasn’t meant for rich people from China. They came over from Gulf Streams.

“It was meant for the babies of slaves. I believe they got it wrong.” He reiterated.
