Ifeanyi Ogbonna, the Asaba-based content creator arrested over alleged rape of 20-year-old lady, Favour Agbro, has apologised to the family of the victim who committed suicide days after her ordeal.

NPO Reported that the Delta State Police Command had arrested Ogbonna, popularly known as Odogwu of Asaba, following a petitioned filed to the police after Favour’s death.

The late 20-year-old lady was alleged to have on the 1st of June 2026 travelled to Asaba at the invitation of Ogbonna, who had offered to train her in TikTok and Facebook monetisation, a programme he reportedly promoted through his social media platform.

Upon her arrival in Asaba, the suspect allegedly took her to a hotel, where he allegedly raped her and subjected her to physical violence which threw into depression and subsequently led to her death.

While Favour had since been buried, the parents of the deceased were however summoned to the police station following the arrest of Ogbonna.

On arrival at the police station, the handcuffed content creator who had reportedly admitted to the allegations against him apologised to the parents of the late lady.

A video of the moment shared on Instagram captured Ogbonna begging Favour’s father, expressing his regret over the incident.

“This is a very terrible mistake. I am ready to give you everything.” He said in the clip.

The content creator proceeded to beg the Favour’s twin sister, kneeling before the visibly emotional lady as he apologised.

Prior to her death, Favour had in an emotional video identified Ogbonna as the person responsible for her death.

“My name is Favour from Warri. This will be the last video of me in the whole world. By the time you see this video, I’m already dead.

“The cause of my death is Odogwu Asaba. He stays in Asaba.

“He is a big content creator. This video is dedicated to him.” She said before recounting her ordeal in the hand of the content creator.
