Controversial Osun State monarch, the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale, has conferred a traditional title on Nigerian social media influencer and activist, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.
Oba Abdulrasheed reportedly hosted VeryDarkMan at his palace for the ceremony on Wednesday.
According to reports, the Osun monarch conferred on VDM the title, “Atayese One of Nigeria” and Orisha Nla.
The first title, in English, means ‘the One who Fixes the World’ while the second title means ‘Big Idol’
Photos from the palace showed the online personality dressed in a colourful Aso Oke outfit as he received the honour in the presence of palace chiefs and supporters.
The development had since attracted mixed reactions with some describing the title as well-deserved while other slammed the monarch.
