Nigeria’s Super Falcons will face Tanzania’s Twiga Stars in an international friendly on Thursday as they step up preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The tune-up match was rescheduled to give the ten-time African champions another opportunity to fine-tune their squad ahead of the continental tournament, which gets underway this weekend.
Nigeria will kick off their Group B campaign against Malawi, with the opening fixture expected to set the tone for their quest to regain the WAFCON title.

Thursday’s friendly will also allow head coach Justine Madugu to further assess his squad, test tactical combinations and finalise his starting XI before the team’s tournament opener.
