Political activist, Isaac Fayose, has charged his brother and former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, to reject his appointment as the Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), labelling it as disrespectful.
NPO Reported that Fayose had yesterday made the list of the 26 fresh appointments approved by President Bola Tinubu.
The president appointed Fayose as the head of REA with Alhaji Ahmadu Abubakar and Engineer Ilyasu Ibrahim Makinta appointed as members and non-executive directors.
The incumbent DG of the agency, Abba Abubakar Aliyu, and three executive directors previously appointed make up the remaining board members.
Reacting to the development in a video shared on his Instagram handle, Isaac Fayose talked down his brother’s appointment which he considered disrespectful to the former Ekiti governor.
He held that Ayo Fayose deserves better appointment, stressing that his credentials surpassed many ambassadorial appointees and ministers like Reno Omokri and the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike.
“APC una sabi disrespect my brother. This is very disrespectful. A whole Fayose for board? They gave you board.Even Reno Omokri wey him generation never be governor before, they made him ambassador.
“So many people in that ambassadorial list don’t have your CV. Even Ministers. Na you train Wike who was a PA to someone when you be governor.
“They made Wike head of a parastatal now made you Osoko very disrespectful. Which kind appointment be dat.
“Reject it. Even Adeyeye from Ekiti, your boy Adeyeye, is NPA Director.” He said.
Isaac Fayose reminded the ex-Ekiti governor of his vow not to take any appointment, including ministerial appointment.
“Osoko this is not the right appointment to take. My brother don’t take it. It is disrespectful. You told us your followers then that you will never be minister or any appointment.” He said.
The political activist, in a separate video, labelled the appointment a Greek gift with alleged intention to use it to cause division between him and his brother.
He alleged that the appointment was borne out of Peter Obi’s visit to him days after calling out the 2027 Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential candidate.
“This is a Greek gift my brother. They want to use this to scatter us because Obi came to visit me.
“Because why didn’t they give you the appointment since? Obi con visit me, they con oya make we take his brother. My brother, I know you will not take this. But if you take it, who am I?” He said.
