One of the rescued victims of the mass abduction in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, has recounted how two out of the seven teachers abducted by the suspected Ansaru terrorists were killed while in captivity.
The victim, who was among the students kidnapped alongside the teachers, narrated the ordeal while addressing newsmen on Thursday.
This is coming days after their rescue from the Old Oyo National Park where they were held captives.
NPO Reported that the kidnap victims, comprising of 39 students and five teachers, were rescued last week Friday after 56 days in captivity.
During the period of their abduction, two teachers, Micheal Oyedokun and Deacon John Olaleye, were gruesomely murdered by the terrorists.
Oyedokun, a Mathematics teacher, was beheaded by the assailants barely a week after the abduction with a graphic video of the murdered post on social media.
Olaleye’s murder would occur days after amid military pressure on the terrorists.
While the victims had since been reunited with their families, one of the rescued students whose name could not be confirmed as at the time of filing this report narrated how Oyedokun and Olaleye were murdered.
Speaking in yoruba, he said the teachers were taken out of sight from them and forced to a farther distance where they were killed.
The student recounted hearing the cries of the teachers.
“I didn’t see when they killed them.
“They took them away from us, but we heard their cry when they were murdered.” He said.
Meanwhile, the families of the late teachers had pleaded with the state and federal government to help them recover the bodies of the victims.
