Nigerian Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as KWAM 1, has broken silence over the fresh paternity scandal involving him and a 12-year-old girl who claimed to be his daughter.
NPO Reported that the girl who identified herself as Asisat Aduke Ayinde Marshall had in a video shared on X on Wednesday, called out KWAM, demanding the singer’s assistance.
Recounting her ordeal, Asisat disclosed dropping out of school due to lack of fund
She also disclosed how several bloggers took advantage of her by generating content with her plight and abandoning her and her mother afterwards.
“I heard that my father is a billionaire. He has money. I see other siblings with money and driving cars, promising to help me.
“I’ve stopped schooling and several people have come to make video of me but they left me at the end.
“Some bloggers will come and take my video and leave. When they see me on the road, they will deny me.” She had said.
Also speaking in the video was Asisat’s mother, Ogechi, who narrated how she met Wasiu.
Ogechi claimed to be the fuji singer’s pedicurist and dated him for seven years until she got pregnant.
She alleged that Wasiu had told her to abort the pregnancy and promised to send her money for the abortion which he failed to do.
Reacting to the allegations while performing at the palace of Onikate of Ikateland on Saturday, Wasiu sang mockery song for the 12-year-old girl and her mother.
The Fuji icon, in the Yoruba song, said ‘To ba loyunkoyun, sara ni’.
This, in English, implied that any unplanned pregnancy involving him is the woman’s responsibility and hers to deal with.
Wasiu’s remark had since sparked mixed reactions from netizens with some mocking the Asisat’s mother while others slammed Wasiu over his reaction.
