The Commissioner of Police in Benue State, Cletus Nwadiogbu, has called on residents of communities repeatedly targeted by terrorist attacks to remain vigilant and take lawful steps to safeguard themselves while ensuring that security agencies are alerted immediately whenever danger arises.
Nwadiogbu made the appeal during an interview on AIT News on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, while leading a joint security operation in Logo Local Government Area, one of the areas most affected by persistent attacks in Benue State.
According to the police commissioner, the security challenges facing the state require close cooperation between residents and security operatives.
He explained that law enforcement personnel cannot be physically present in every community at all times, making it essential for members of the public to stay alert, monitor their surroundings, and report suspicious movements or attacks without delay. GET FULL STORY HERE.
