The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is battling a fire outbreak at the Bono Energy Terminal located in the Coconut area of Apapa, Lagos.
The agency’s spokesperson, Shakiru Amodu, confirmed the incident in a brief statement issued to journalists on Friday.
According to him, emergency responders are working to contain the fire at the terminal along the Apapa-Oworonshoki Expressway.
“The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is currently curbing a fire explosion at Bono Energy Terminal on Apapa-Oworonshoki Expressway, by Coconut, Olodi Apapa, Lagos. Update to follow,” he said.
The cause of the fire had yet to be determined as of the time of filing this report.
