Dr. Katch Ononuju, Director-General of the Heritage Centre, has alleged that the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari prevented the use of drones to track kidnappers and locate their hideouts during the country’s worsening security crisis.

Speaking during an interview on SYMFONI TV, Ononuju argued that available technology could have helped security agencies respond more effectively to kidnappings if it had been deployed consistently. He maintained that the government failed to take advantage of such tools.
