Afrobeats star Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has announced his upcoming ‘In God We Trust’ world tour, with performances scheduled across Europe and North America.
Asake announced this on his official social media pages, unveiling the tour dates and some of the iconic venues where he will perform.
The tour will kick off at Afro Nation Portugal before moving to North America in August, where Asake is billed to perform in Chicago, Toronto, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Houston and Los Angeles.
He will later head to Europe for shows in Paris, London and other cities. South African Amapiano star Uncle Waffles will join him on selected North American dates.
The tour comes months after the release of his fourth studio album, “M$NEY,” which dropped on May 1. The project is his first under his independent label, Giran Republic, following his departure from YBNL Nation.
Fans can expect performances of songs from “M$NEY” as well as hits from his previous projects, including “Mr. Money With The Vibe,” “Work of Art,” and “Lungu Boy.”
Asake rose to fame in 2022 after signing with Olamide’s YBNL Nation, where he released the hit single “Omo Ope” and his debut EP “Ololade.”
His song “Amapiano” earned a nomination in the Best African Music Performance category at the 66th Grammy Awards, despite being performed primarily in Yoruba.
Since his breakthrough, Asake has toured extensively across Europe, the United Kingdom and North America, including a performance at London’s O2 Arena.
