…calls out Atiku over primary election results
BABACHIR Lawal, former secretary to the government of the federation has resigned from the African Democratic Congress.
The former secretary announced his resignation in a statement shared on his official Facebook page on Monday, June 1.
He alleged that the party’s recent presidential primary election was manipulated in favor of Atiku and his allies.
Lawal also stated that he could no longer remain in a party whose primary process he described as fundamentally flawed.
He described the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as unfit to be president in 2027
Lawal said Atiku is inept and incompetent, claiming that the African Democratic Congress presidential primary was rigged for him.
He further stated that the primaries at all levels were massively rigged to ensure victory for those loyal to Atiku.
The former secretary added that he could not in good conscience, remain in the African Democratic Congress. (Text excluding headline from Channels TV)
