Human rights activist, Precious Oruche, popularly known as MamaPee, has called out President Bola Tinubu over the lawsuit filed against Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore, by the Department of State Service (DSS) for calling the president a criminal.

This is coming under the heels of the Abuja Federal High Court judgement which granted Sowore N200 million bail.

NPO Reported that the court had in its ruling on Tuesday granted Sowore N200 million bail with two sureties.

Meanwhile, the presiding judge, Justice Mohammed Umar, ordered the remand of the 2027 African Action Congress (AAC) Presidential candidate pending the fulfilment of the bail application.

This had sparked outrage from his supporters and activists present at the court’s premises.

While airing her displeasure over the remand, MamaPee, in her address to newsmen, labelled Tinubu a person of particular concern, stressing that the President should be the one under investigation and not Sowore.

“If you think you are not a criminal, go to the court and prove yourself. You forfeited $460,000 to the US. Are you not supposed to be charged?

“Your certificates are not tallying. The primary school you claimed you attended does not exist as at the time you quoted. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, you are the person of particular concern.

“You should be the one under investigation. You should be the one in court and not Sowore.” She said.

The activist further held that the President cannot silence dissenting voices, stressing that he is also a beneficiary of protest.

“Bola Ahmed Tinubu, you are beneficial of protest. But no person who participated in protest have benefitted from the protest. But now, you president want to steal our voice. You cannot.” She added.
