Thousands of commuters have been left stranded as heavy floods cut off the Lagos-Ibadan Highway.

The Tuesday morning rainfall which last for hours had rendered the road impassable as the flood engulfed the road.

NPO Reports observed that the traffic gridlock along the Shagamu Interchange stretch across over three kilometres.

The gridlock was further complicated with the diversion of motorists heading to Ibadan to Lagos to the lane of those heading the opposite directions.
