The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Saturday at the Oluode-Aranyin area of Osun capital city, Osogbo.

Recounting his ordeal, Mustapha disclosed that the heavily armed assailants arrived in the area in an unmarked brown Toyota Sienna vehicle.

He alleged being shot at by the gunmen after they spotted AMBO campaign cap on his head.

They opened fire at me for wearing AMBO Cap. They nearly killed me.

“They came to attack me with a Sienna bus. They were all wearing Accord Party’s cap.” Mustapha said.

The victim was immediately rushed to an undisclosed hospital in Osogbo, where he is currently receiving medical attention.

Meanwhile, no official statement has been issued on the incident with the circumstances surrounding the attack remain subject to investigation.
