Fuji star Remi Aluko reveals he is no different from a blind person amid glaucoma battle

Nigerian Fuji musician Remi Aluko has revealed that he is battling glaucoma, sharing that his vision has become severely impaired.

The popular singer made the disclosure recently during an appearance as a guest on Oyinmomo TV.

Speaking about his condition, Aluko noted that he has been battling glaucoma for years, adding that his vision is currently no better than that of a blind person.

He went on to say that many people remain unaware of his condition because he has managed to handle the situation exceptionally well.

He further stated that he remains upbeat, refusing to let his predicament weigh him down and lead to depression.

Giving an update on the current state of his sight, Aluko said: “I’m a glaucoma patient. I’m managing myself; I’m currently not seeing. Despite being a glaucoma patient, many people don’t know. There’s no difference between me and a blind person now, but no one knows because I don’t let my condition weigh me down.”

He added: “Thank God that I know how to take care of myself like someone who can see. I decided not to dwell on my condition because I don’t want to be depressed.”
