As Police Commence Probe

The First Bank of Nigeria Managing Director, Oluwasegun Alebiosu, has reported receiving ammunition concealed in an envelope marked confidential at his Lagos residence.
Tijani Fatai, the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Tijani Fatai, disclosed this during a press briefing on Tuesday.
The police commissioner said Alebiosu had on the 7th of May, 2026 filed a report before the command over the disturbing parcel delivered by a dispatch rider.
According to Tijani, the First Bank’s boss had at the uncovering of the parcel discovered two live ammunition with no accompanying letter, message, or information that could reveal the identity of the sender.
“On the 7th of May this year, the Managing Director of First Bank reported that he collected a parcel that was collected for him by his guard in his house.
“When they opened it, they saw two live ammunition precisely 7.62mm.
“That aroused a lot of suspicion and we went into investigation over the matter.” The Lagos Police Commissioner said.
Tijani maintained that investigattion is still ongoing over the development which he described as a very serious case.
“Presently, I can confirm to you that the matter is still under investigation. It is a serious case and the investigation needs to be more thorough.” He added.
